In another room in the shoebox house she calls her home, the rag doll's other patients wait patiently for her craft. A Mecca bulldozer, metal with peeling yellow paint, is missing its left front wheel. He holds a vinyl doll's head, waiting for it to be glued into the empty wheel arch. It won't roll quite the same, he knows, but he can live with the handicap until he snags a better part.
The rag doll ends up with her panda patient, wishing him a cheerful farewell as she tucks his payment (2 buttons and a small watch outfit) into her skirt pocket. She quickly trains her face to hide her cunning, greedy smile as she steps over the threshold to the waiting bulldozer. Its repair requires glue, and glue is a precious resource, my friend...
